Sometimes God has surprises in store. Last Thursday I travelled with one other OMNIvision volunteer to a corporate event for the National Trust. It was a simple event, looked to be rather dull, and whilst it didn’t conflict with our values – it wasn’t a Christian event but the wise leaders of OMNIvision know that we need to keep our equipment maintained and up to date, and for that we need paying events, so I was happy to go. Little did I know I would stumble upon one of the most beautiful scenes I have ever laid eyes on in my life. The view across the still water to the moon above the snow capped mountains took my breath away. Later in the day I came out for a lunch break and found it even more spectacular in the full sunlight.

The event itself went well and we were thanked and appreciated on a level akin to helping with a church event. It was a pleasure to work there, and I thank God for an amazing day – a total surprise.The Hotel for the conference was Low Wood Hotel in Ambleside.
